1) Social Media Profiles Having a profile using your name, or company name, on one of these social media sites will provide you with a great link and a higher ranking in Google searches: Facebook.com, Linkedin.com, Twitter.com, YouTube.com. 2) Video Google searches are more favorable to video content (and YouTube, owned by Google), and often videos can out rank text content. You have to optimize your video for keyword strings (long tail keywords), and upload to YouTube. Video is no longer ranking in organic rankings for Google’s newest 2010 search engine update (Caffeine), but you can still get good ranking with video. Simply adjust your browser settings, or search for ‘video’ to find video content.
3) List Your Product on Shopping Sites
If you are selling a product, listing it on Amazon.com will help your search engine efforts tremendously. Optimize your product (keywords, alt tags) and upload them to comparison shopping sites.
